Looking forward to it already.....

Just a routine day at the office for the Race No 1.

In the words of Mr T "I pity the fool who tries to take my chips". Evil or Very Mad No

I have a RAF club do on the 29th m8, been organised for a while.

Its at the green garden so i could cut it short, but I would rather go for another date if possible.

What about Sat 30th?

Sorry

the next night is a no go as number 2 and 3 seeds are in work hard at graft, prob going to be a few weeks away as theres no other good date when everyones available...... on a more positive note the 'ay nik 4' enter the wsop league tonight and all the bignames in laddies are entered in this tourny. We have our work cut out and should have provided our 'ace' in the pack in unleashing akq!!! will keep you all posted on our short comnings...

Can't make Sat night either as I drive down to Paphos about 5 in morning.

If Friday isn't a goer then we will have to have a couple of back 2 back ones in March.

On another note - heard the 'Ay Nik 4' bombed out of their first tourney... you needed the loose play of LLLLoydy and AKQ to add balance to your team. Embarassed

Theres no probs with the delay, its all good for certain players to regroup and find their form. A quick mention on the wsop league last nite as AKQ's assessment of bombing out doesn't do the boys justice, in a field of 441 that contained all of ladbrokes top players and pro's just coming back to help out their teams the line up was as strong a tournament I've ever had the pleasure to play in. Homegrown talent of Jon Kalmar (5th WSOP main event 2007), Paul Jackson (2nd Monte Carlo Milliion's 2006), Jeff Kimber (Current World Heads Up Champion) and Roy the Boy Brindley were just the tip of the iceberg. The scandinavian contigent was as hot as ever then some good poker would be required to go deep in the field. The 20minute blind levels, lengthy for online and 2.5k starting chips made for some real play to follow.
With Des awol for the night we were down to 3. After the first hour bigbetts was running 6th and Stevie 11th, Imac who was at the stonegrill had made himself competitive due to bigbetts substituting for him in his absence and making the 1st break above average stack. The wheels fell off in the second hour, Imac returned and took over his average stack, he ran his AQ into AK halving his stack then it was allin for him on AK v JJ, no joy and hes hitting the rail for doing nothing wrong and maybe was suffering from coming in from the cold... he lasted 8 hands on his own!!!! Stevie who was chippy then slow played AA without realising into the bb's two pair of 8's and 3's this crippled him and he never really recovered. So it was left to the skipper to get the boys on the scoreboard, after playing some of my best cards in months online, I made a couple of mistakes not getting paid fully on one hand then bluffed out of another pot... i moved my dwindling stack of 7.5k allin for the first time of 3 hours of play... (quite a feat) this showing just how in control i was!!! my move was pushing from the small blind with A7, the blinds were 400/800 and player 2 was allin for 450 chips.. so the hand is going to get shown down no matter what!!! The button called and then i pushed, fully expecting the bigblind to fold along with the button. me to collect the 2k as im confident of having player 2 beat (his m is less than 1 and will move with any 2 sooted or connected) the bigblind calls of 2/3's of his stack with 55 and player 2 has A6... so its to the races. although calling with 5's there wasnt something i'd do or expected him to do... needless to say i missed and i met the rail. Placing 89th and getting the boys 12points. Not great but it was a cracking tourney to be involved in and the only mistakes i made were mentioned previous and i dont think my busting out was a mistake!!! IMO i was playing at a very high level and something i need to consistently match to get up there in the big paydays again!!!

Hope you enjoyed the writeup, playing 2 tables folding monsters for Imac and watching the darts all at the same time is an art form!!!
