NR 'Evian' Linco Takes Down Event 2
AKQ and iMac justified thier lofty positions on the leaderboard but it was NR Lincs who took the spoils, coming out on top of a number of heavy pots. Particularly a 28k and a 16k from AKQ and a big take down of LLLLoydy's stack.
The Super 8 basement boys, Kingfish, BigBetts and Muriel (AKA Courtney) fell by the wayside early doors, as with the previous event. BigBetts showing his usual William to fall foul of an AKQ play.
LLLoydy fresh from the little leagues showed that playing with too many fish hurts your judgement, as he continually bet in big pots with weak hands. As for Cool Hand, with pussy on his mind, the man only had eyes for Napa and continually used the 'All in with nothing play' with a hope of either leaving early or winning big. Eventually going out on the bubble with an excited look on his face.
The final 3 of Rolo, AKQ and NR Lincs went toe 2 toe for a while. Perennial short stack Rolo, looked likely to be first out on a number of occasions. However, when a rash 'All In' from AKQ sat with A 2 and an A on the flop was called by NR Linco with his A 7 proved the turning point. AKQs rag wasnt enough to earn a split pot and he handed over a 3rd of the overall chips to NR Linco who went on the take the 10 points for the event, finally busting Rolo's Bullets with a cheeky 8 - 4 off.
In summary, another excellent event, with some very good cards being played and some big pots amassed. However, NR Linco reluctance to remain on water all night was slightly dissapointing and not really in the spirit of the game
- I'm not bitter though.
Cheers to our host BB.com - Nice William.
